DESCRIPTION
CS Connector with significantly reduced footprint, it’s a miniature single-position plug characterized by duo cylindrical, spring-loaded butting ferrule(s) of a 1.25 mm typical diameter and a push-pull coupling mechanism. The optical alignment mechanism of the connectors is a rigid bore sleeve or a resilient sleeve.
HOLIGHT also provides a full set of OEM services, such as fiber connector, length, color, fiber grade, specification, material, package etc.

Deployment Notes
CS duplex patch cables are typically selected for 200G/400G high-density data center architectures where the CS connector interface has been finalized during system design.
Not recommended for projects where connector interface selection (CS vs LC, SN, or MDC) has not yet been determined.

- Data Centers: High-speed data transmission in dense installations.
- Telecom Networks: Backbone connections for long-distance communication.
- Enterprise Solutions: Optimized for high-speed LAN/WAN setups.
- Next-Gen Ethernet Applications: Supports 400G Ethernet with OSFP-400G-2FR4 modules.
Q1: What is a CS duplex fiber optic patch cable?
It is a high-performance duplex fiber cable terminated with CS connectors on both ends, optimized for high-speed 200G and 400G network connections in data centers and enterprise networks.
Q2: Why choose CS connectors over LC or MPO in high-speed networks?
CS connectors are compact, high-density connectors designed for parallel optics in 200G/400G applications, saving rack space while maintaining low insertion loss and high reliability.
Q3: What fiber types are supported by this patch cable?
It supports multimode fibers (OM3/OM4/OM5) for short-reach 200G/400G connections, as well as single-mode fibers (OS2) for longer-distance links.
Q4: What is the typical optical performance?
Insertion loss is typically ≤0.3 dB per connector.
Return loss is ≥50 dB for single-mode (OS2) and ≥30 dB for multimode (OM3 / OM4 / OM5), meeting IEEE, IEC, and TIA requirements for 200G and 400G networks.
Q5: Can this CS duplex patch cable be customized?
Yes. Length, fiber type, jacket material (LSZH, PVC, OFNR), connector gender, and polarity can be customized to fit specific project requirements.
Q6: Where is this cable commonly used?
It is widely deployed in hyperscale data centers, enterprise LANs, SAN interconnects, and high-density backbone networks requiring reliable high-speed connections.
Q7: What are the installation advantages of CS duplex patch cables?
Compact duplex design reduces rack space, supports high-density patch panels, and enables plug-and-play deployment for rapid network setup.
Q8: What is the typical delivery time for CS duplex patch cables?
Standard lengths are generally in stock for fast shipment, while custom lengths or configurations usually require 3–7 working days.
